Lynx Works' Restorations

With its launch in 1974, the Lynx D-type became an instant success and the 53 examples built to date are much coveted by their discerning owners. This was followed by the Lynx Eventer XJS shooting brake in 1983 and has also included the evocative Lynx XKSS, which continues to be built today.

As examples of these cars can now be up to thirty years old, there is sometimes the need to carry out age-related repairs.  At Lynx, we are able to offer a works’ approach to servicing, repairs and restoration for any car that carries the Lynx name.

Lynx D-type

With the unique ability to refer to each car’s original build records, body bucks and patterns, together with each car’s individual history file, Lynx can add a further dimension to the history and heritage of your car.

Also our care and attention to detail with each of our cars cannot be found elsewhere. The Lynx name on invoices included in a car’s history folder carries enormous cachet. It’s the guarantee that anything from a minor service to a major restoration has been carried out by trained craftsmen who know the cars and what’s best for them more deeply than anyone else. If a Lynx model needs to be restored, then having it done by the people who built it in the first place is much more desirable than by a third party.
