THE LYNX ADJUSTABLE TORSION BAR SYSTEM

One of the more difficult and time-consuming jobs with the Jaguar E-type is the adjustment of the front ride-height. It normally involves the removal and re-fitting of the torsion bars repeatedly until the desired ride-height is achieved. As the ride-height of a car can change for many reasons, it will require adjustment from time to time.

Lynx has designed and developed a solution to this problem with the Lynx Adjustable Torsion Bar System.

Lynx Adjustable Torsion Bar System

Once installed, the front ride height can be adjusted without removing the torsion bars. It will also increase the torsional rigidity of the car at the same time. This system is especially useful if the car is to be used for occasional track work as well as a road car.

The mounting plate is manufactured from EN8 grade 1/2" thick steel with a plough ground finish to increase surface hardness.   The adjusting collars are machined from EN8 grade steel, combined with 16T threaded studs to ensure complete rigidity.
