LYNX E-TYPE WINS AT LOUIS VUITTON CLASSIC

line

A 1967 Jaguar E-type originally owned by 1960’s icon Britt Ekland has won its class at this year’s Louis Vuitton Classic held on Saturday 8 June at London’s Hurlingham Club.

‘NYK 1E’, which has recently been restored by Lynx Motors International, is finished in the very traditional combination of British Racing Green, biscuit hide interior with chromium wire wheels.

A number of sympathetic enhancements designed by Lynx have been incorporated into the car for its owner. These bespoke features provide for much improved overall performance and handling for high-speed long distance road use.

The theme for this year’s event was ‘The Best of British’ and celebrated a Jubilee of British Motoring 1952-2002. All of the cars entered were British and included many famous marques including Bentley, Aston Martin and Jaguar.

The Lynx E-type won the Selfridges Trophy in the Great Sporting Icons class, which was judged by well-known television presenter and journalist Jeremy Clarkson.
