LYNX CELEBRATES 40 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE

line

Founded originally in 1968 by recently qualified engineer Guy Black and architect Roger Ludgate, Lynx has grown from its humble beginnings to a company renowned in many areas of the car world for its own range of models that include the Lynx D-type and Lynx Lightweight E-type.

Other successes for Lynx in the automotive world encompass unique engineering projects, award-winning concours level restorations, and competition in historic motor racing since its inception in the 1970s.

Design innovation and engineering excellence have always been at the heart of the company’s activities and many landmarks have been created by Lynx. The Lynx XJS Spider launched in 1978 predated by some seven years Jaguar’s own XJS convertible model. The Lynx XJS Eventer shooting brake created in 1982 remains one of the most elegant estate conversions even undertaken on any car.

Although Lynx has long been associated with the Jaguar name, the company’s engineering expertise has for many years been connected with other sports car manufacturers that include Aston Martin and Ferrari.

Whilst celebrating forty years of automotive engineering at the highest levels, Lynx Motors International will continue to further build on its reputation with a variety of new projects; and is looking forward to the challenges and opportunities presented in the exciting and ever-changing world of sports and racing cars.
