A special order Ferrari275 GTB/4 has been awarded Best in Class in the 275 GTB/4 category at the Ferrari 60 Concorso d’Eleganza hosted by Ferrari as part of the company’s centrepiece 60th Anniversary celebrations held at Fiorano from 22nd to 24th June.

Chassis number 10017 had been invited to take part in the event and returned to Maranello exactly 40 years after it was collected from the factory by its first owner in June1967.

Ferrari 275 GTB/4 -10017 was a special order example finished in Ferrari Bleu with a Connolly Pelle Orancia interior. The car was personally collected from the Factory on the 7th June 1967 by its owner, John Annis of Tampa , Florida - his third new Ferrari at the age of 21!

Following a tour of Europe with the car by John Annis during the Summer of ’67 that included taking in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa, 10017 was shipped to his home in the USA where it spent many years before becoming part an important private Japanese collection. 10017 was then brought to the UK where it was owned by the English film producer Eric Fellner (well known for the Hugh Grant film comedies including Four Weddings and a Funeral) before being acquired by Lynx Chairman John Mayston-Taylor in September 2004.
