LYNX COMPLETES ANOTHER EVENTER WORKS' RESTORATION

line

Following the concours restoration of Eventer No 3, Lynx Motors International has recently completed a works’ restoration of Eventer No 30.

The car, which was converted when new for its Dutch owner, returned to Lynx almost 20 years later to the day, to have restoration works carried out for the son-in-law of its original owner.

The car has been in the same family ownership since new and continues to be used on a daily basis in Europe.

Specific instructions were made with regard to retaining the exact colour of paintwork and retaining unique features ordered when new.

“The Eventer has a great deal of sentimental value within the family and our children are now taking an interest in their grandfather’s special car”, enthused the owner following the restoration work. “It is also very special to have this work carried out by the same person who converted the car originally. We were even provided with copies of original correspondence between my father-in-law and Lynx. There is nothing quite like a works’ restoration”.

Lynx specialist Stuart Carre was surprised and flattered to see the car return after so many years. “It is interesting to see the changes that have been made during the production of the Eventer”, commented Stuart, who has been involved with the Lynx Eventer since its inception in 1983.
