LYNX TO RESTORE EARLY EVENTER
![]()
One of the earliest Lynx Eventers is to be restored to “as new” condition on behalf of its owner, so he may continue to enjoy this rare coachbuilt shooting brake conversion to Jaguar’s XJS coupe.
Lynx Eventer Build Number 003, having covered almost
200,000 miles since being converted by Lynx in 1983, is being given a
“works” refurbishment by Lynx Motors International in their facilities in
Southern England.
“It is very interesting that we are now carrying out this type of work on one of our Eventers”, commented Lynx Chairman, John Mayston-Taylor. “The owner is very knowledgeable about Jaguars and wishes his Eventer to be the flagship of his collection. I am sure he will be very pleased with the end result”.
The restoration process, which is scheduled to take six to eight months, will be undertaken by Stuart Carre, who originally converted the car to an Eventer in 1983. The overall project will be managed by Andrew Parkinson.
