ASTON MARTIN WINS BEST RESTORATION AT LOUIS VUITTON CLASSIC IN PARIS
![]()
An Aston Martin DB4GT has won the Prix de l'Association de Bagatelle for the
Best Restoration at this year's Louis Vuitton Classic at the Parc de Bagatelle
in Paris on Sunday 9th September.
The car (chassis no 0107), one of seventy five constructed by the factory, was
the seventh car built and the third in right hand drive form, leaving the
factory on 27 January 1960. After being used as a road car in the early years of
its life, 9 KPL was then raced during the 1970s and '80s. The car then spent
time in a private Japanese collection before being returned to the UK in 2000.
The car has been sympathetically restored by Lynx Motors International and is
used on the road as well as the track, where it recently won its class at the
annual Aston Martin Owners' Club event at Goodwood circuit in July.
"It is a great honour and we are very pleased to receive this major award.
The competition this year was strong and the quality of restoration was very
high. It is rare for an Aston Martin to win against some of the magnificent
Ferrari restorations and we hope it will continue ", commented Lynx
Chairman, John Mayston-Taylor after receiving the Lalique crystal trophy.
