HISTORIC FERRARIS ON THE ITALIA CLASSICA
![]()
More
than 25 Ferraris from the 1950s and 1960s gathered in the Piemonte region for
the 2005 Italia Classica where the cars were driven in fine weather along
picturesque winding roads with spectacular views in this historic wine-producing
area of Italy.

Examples of the marques invited to the event included 250 California Spiders, 250 SWBs, 250 GTOs and 275 GTBs.

Three 275 GTB/4s were selected to be invited on to the event including chassis 10017, which was recently refurbished by Lynx Motors International and subsequently profiled in Classic & Sportscar magazine. Returning to be driven in Italy for the first time since it was collected from the factory by its original owner in June 1967, 10017 was much enjoyed by the many discerning Italian car enthusiasts.

In addition to the road tour, a number of private visits were arranged to Italian automotive design houses including Giugiaro and Pininfarina, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary.
Joining the Ferraris were examples of other marques including a Lynx XKSS and a Lynx-modified Jaguar E-type.
